REACH Reading Assistant

REACH Reading assistants collaborate with classroom teachers to provide small group reading instruction for students selected by the classroom teacher. They design appropriate reading instruction from the reading curriculum and implement instruction through the Orton Gillingham approach to reading.

NILD Educational Therapy® National Institute for Learning Development

NILD Educational Therapy® focuses on the underlying causes of learning difficulties and strengthens areas of weakness in perception, cognition, academics and emotions. Through one-on-one, interactive educational therapy, students begin to understand how they think and through time become independent, successful, lifelong learners.

SEARCH & TEACH Intervention

SEARCH & TEACH is an evidenced-based early intervention, reading readiness program serving students from kindergarten through 1st grade. Intervention focuses on the developmental skills necessary to lay the foundation for reading. Based on Search results, students receive one-on-one instruction through TEACH intervention to strengthen perceptual areas to prevent the frustration of reading failure.

X-PLOR Intervention (Rx Read)

X-PLOR (RX Read) is a systematic and explicit intervention that focuses on improving reading skills. Students learn to read effectively and spell accurately while building vocabulary and comprehension capabilities.

The RX Reading Fundamentals utilizes the science of reading and structured literacy practices to strengthen the student’s reading foundation. It covers essential skills like phonology, fluency, morphology, and comprehension, with strategies for multilingual learners. Educators use an evidence-based, mediated learning approach to teaching foundational reading skills.

The RX Reading Standard uses the five essential components of reading – phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary and reading comprehension – to develop these components and increase reading skills. The intervention models how to weave these components, called the “strands of language” into a language braid that is comprehensive, constructive, and creative to help students develop into skilled readers.

X-PLOR Intervention (Rx math)

X-PLOR (RX Math) builds and strengthens number sense, math fluency, math vocabulary, and problem-solving strategies within weekly small group sessions. Students will be challenged to apply their growing understanding of number sense to novel problem-solving activities that challenge thinking and reasoning. Hands-on, research-based, number sense activities will be utilized as the core content in this dynamic intervention while mediation, Socratic questioning, and the strengthening of cognitive functions will serve as the core methodology. In this intervention, students’ foundational math concepts will be strengthened while their thinking and problem-solving skills will be challenged, all within an atmosphere where math anxiety is reduced and thinking is maximized.

inSIGHT Group Instruction

inSIGHT group instruction helps students make significant progress in their decoding skills and encoding skills throughout the course of the program. Students work in small groups with a consistent learning pattern to improve their overall literacy abilities and become confident readers.

read beyond book club

READ Beyond Book Club is designed for students who are reading beyond their current grade level. This program will challenge their reading skills, expand their intellectual and higher-level thinking skills, and expand their knowledge with new vocabulary. Students will have the opportunity to participate in extended enrichment activities, analyze the text of various reading materials, increase their critical thinking, and synthesize new ideas.

CONNECT Coaching 

CONNECT Coaching addresses areas involving the executive functions, including goal setting, organizing, planning, task initiating, sustaining attention, shifting flexibly, and self-monitoring. The goal of these sessions is to learn better processes rather than focusing on content through modeling and teaching tools and strategies to navigate their everyday activities with increased independence.

ACHIEVE Academic Tutoring

ACHIEVE Academic Tutoring is 1-to-1 academic support for learners from K–8th grade. Credentialed teachers are available to help students fill gaps in their learning by assisting with classwork and content. All subject areas are available with on-campus tutoring after school hours.

On Campus Speech and Language Pathologist

Speech-language pathologists work to prevent, assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, social communication, and cognitive-communication in children.
