Meet Garrett Guinn
SCS Class of 2018
Garrett Guinn graduated from Stockdale Christian in 2018. He is currently majoring in business at Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas. He plays baseball for Southwestern and also is involved with Fellowship of Christian Athletes, several bible studies, community service groups, and their business club on campus. After graduation, Garrett is hoping to pursue a baseball career and, with his business degree, he will be looking at operating a portion of Guinn Construction in the great state of Texas.
Stockdale Christian prepared me very well academically for high school, especially in the subjects of Math, Science and English.
Q&A with garrett:
What is one of your favorite memories of SCS?
“One of my favorite memories was traveling on the middle school trips to New York, Boston, and Washington DC. It was amazing to explore each of those areas and learn about the rich history they provide.”
In what ways did your education at scs equip you for success?
“SCS provided a strong focus on learning about Christ, showing us how everything in this world is connected to the God who created the heavens and the earth. I have a strong foundation in Christ because of SCS. I was also challenged by my teachers academically to achieve excellence in every subject. They pushed me to improve my thoughts and words in writing, and explained challenging algebra and biology concepts to prepare me for my high school courses.”
