Q&A with McKenzie:
What are some of your favorite memories of SCS?
"My favorite memories are from 4th grade with Mrs. Picking. She was strict and the lessons were challenging in a good way, but what I remember most is when she would cry tears of joy whenever she talked about Jesus. The things I learned in her class still stick with me to this day.”
In What ways did your education at SCS equip you for success?
"I am so thankful for my years in the band program that have brought me to a satisfying and successful music career. The level of excellence expected of us and cultivated in us prepared me for high school music, college music, and then being a professional musician. The everyday work, practice, time, and focus that went into learning an instrument prepared me for all of high school and beyond."
