Welcome to Stockdale Christian Preschool

We welcome you to Stockdale Christian Preschool! Our program is designed to meet the needs of each individual child depending on his or her level of development and growth. We strive to instill the proper priorities of life, the first being an individual commitment to Jesus Christ. Helping children develop a positive self-image through the knowledge of God’s love and teach them how to express their love to God. SCS preschool seeks to provide a positive and trusting environment. Social development is fostered as we encourage good manners and self-control. Curiosity and creative thinking are inspired, building listening and communication skills while broadening the child’s horizon beyond the home through varied experiences. Physical development is bolstered through the reinforcement of good health habits. A child’s fine and gross motor skills are refined within the structure of our curriculum. Our preschoolers become self-confident, self-reliant and self-disciplined as we prepare them to be successful in all their future endeavors.

Our Day

In order to help children have a solid start in life, goals are designed to meet their spiritual, mental, emotional, physical and social needs. A well-planned program which incorporates all five of these areas is always in progress with the idea that learning never stops. The daily schedule includes Bible, Phonics, Number Skills, Music, Art, Science, Stories and both Small and Gross Motor Play Centers. Children attend a weekly chapel where they learn more about who God is and how they can have a personal relationship with Him.

Kindergarten Readiness

Our kindergarten readiness program is the right fit for your preschooler to prepare them for kindergarten. The kindergarten readiness curriculum is offered to children in our Pre-K classes. To apply for our Pre-K program you child must turn 4 before September 1st. We also offer a kindergarten readiness summer program for those entering Kindergarten at SCS in the Fall. Our Staff

Our teachers are caring adults who invest their time and creativity to nurture your child as they grow and learn. All of our preschool teachers have had the proper college education required by the State of California. All of our teachers also attend a Bible-believing church and have accepted Jesus as their personal Savior. Our goal is to provide a caring Chirst-centered environment where you child will receive the foundation they need to establish a lifelong love of learning.
